Ogah Mark Inaugurated as Kogi CBM Director, Reaffirms Commitment to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
Hon. Ogah Mark Okpanachi has officially assumed office as the Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM) following his inauguration during the movement’s 2026 National Retreat at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The event brought together newly appointed State Directors and members of the National Working Committee from across Nigeria, marking another milestone in the movement’s efforts to strengthen its nationwide structure ahead of future political engagements.
According to a statement signed by Blessing Julius Ele-Ojo, ANIPR, Media and Publicity Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Ogah Mark was among the officials sworn into office during the opening ceremony held on Wednesday. Although he was appointed as Kogi State Director in January 2026, the inauguration formally confirmed his leadership role within the organization and his mandate to coordinate the movement’s activities across Kogi State.
Speaking shortly after taking the oath of office, Hon. Ogah Mark expressed profound appreciation to the national leadership of the City Boy Movement for the confidence reposed in him.
He specifically thanked the Director-General, Hon. Francis Shoga, under the Grand Patronage of Barr. Seyi Tinubu, for considering him worthy of the appointment. He described the opportunity as both a great honour and a call to greater service, promising to justify the confidence placed in him through dedication, commitment, and effective leadership.
The newly inaugurated Kogi CBM Director reaffirmed his unwavering support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the Renewed Hope Agenda continues to provide a roadmap for Nigeria’s economic recovery, youth development, and national progress.
He noted that despite prevailing challenges, the administration’s reforms are gradually delivering positive results across various sectors, reflecting the President’s commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
Hon. Ogah also praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State for aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda through the implementation of people-centered policies and developmental programmes. According to him, the governor’s efforts in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and social welfare have continued to complement the Federal Government’s vision, making Kogi State a strategic partner in advancing national development.
Looking ahead to the 2027 General Elections, Hon. Ogah Mark pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization across the state’s three senatorial districts. He emphasized that the City Boy Movement would strengthen its presence at the ward and local government levels by engaging young people, community leaders, women, and other critical stakeholders.
According to him, expanding youth participation in governance remains one of the movement’s major priorities as it seeks to promote responsible leadership and active citizenship.
He further explained that the movement would continue to educate and mobilize supporters on the ideals of good governance, democratic participation, and national unity. Through sustained stakeholder engagement and stronger organizational structures, the Kogi chapter of the City Boy Movement aims to consolidate support for President Tinubu’s policies while encouraging greater youth involvement in the nation’s political and socio-economic development.
Hon. Ogah expressed optimism that the ongoing National Retreat would provide participants with valuable leadership training, strategic planning skills, and organizational knowledge needed to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
He said the retreat offers an opportunity for State Directors and members of the National Working Committee to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and develop practical strategies for expanding the movement’s influence across the country.
The 2026 City Boy Movement National Retreat is expected to continue with a series of strategic sessions focusing on leadership development, grassroots mobilization, organizational management, and effective communication.
As Hon. Ogah Mark begins his tenure as Kogi State Director, stakeholders believe his appointment will further strengthen the City Boy Movement’s presence in the state while advancing the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
