Easter: Kogi Lands Bureau DG Greets Staff, Urges Reflection, Moderation
The Director General, Kogi State Bureau of Lands, Tpl. Kehinde Augustine Salihu-Otaru (FNITP), has extended warm Easter felicitations to the management and staff of the Bureau, as well as the general public, calling on Christians to reflect deeply on the spiritual significance of the season.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja, Tpl. Salihu-Otaru urged Christians to imbibe the enduring virtues of passion, humility, and submission, as exemplified by Jesus Christ, who remained steadfast in obedience to God throughout His earthly journey.
He emphasized that Easter provides a solemn opportunity for sober reflection, renewal of faith, and commitment to righteous living.
The Director General further called on Nigerians to remain committed to the collective task of nation-building, urging citizens to make conscious efforts towards fostering unity, peace, and sustainable development.
He also prayed for religious and traditional leaders, asking that they align with the divine mandate to guide and lead the people with wisdom and integrity.
Reaffirming confidence in the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the DG encouraged citizens to continue supporting the administration and its team as they work tirelessly to steer Kogi State towards progress and prosperity.
While advocating for a modest celebration, Tpl. Salihu-Otaru cautioned against indulgence in excesses, urging Christians to engage in activities that uplift humanity and promote spiritual growth during the Easter period.
