Tinubu Appoints Dr. Hassan Ocholi to TETFund Board of Trustees
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, representing the North Central geopolitical zone.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the board’s oversight of tertiary education funding and support the Federal Government’s efforts to improve higher education across the country.
Dr. Ocholi is an experienced public administrator and researcher with a strong academic background. He holds a doctorate in Biological Sciences, as well as postgraduate qualifications including a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Public Health, and a degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Over the years, he has contributed to public service through scientific research, policy development, administrative leadership, and grassroots mobilisation aimed at promoting national development.
Congratulating the new appointee, President Tinubu urged Dr. Ocholi to deploy his wealth of experience in advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in strengthening Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
Observers say Dr. Ocholi’s multidisciplinary expertise and representation of the North Central zone will add value to the Board of Trustees as TETFund continues to drive infrastructure development, research, and academic excellence in public tertiary institutions.
Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi is from Oganenigwu Ward in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State.
