The Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications has praised the development-oriented leadership of His Imperial Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri Kingdom, as he marks five years on the throne.
The Bureau described the monarch’s reign as one in which traditional authority has been matched with practical efforts to improve the welfare and prospects of the people.
In a goodwill message signed by its Director-General, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., the Bureau highlighted the monarch’s contributions to human capital development, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and economic empowerment.

According to the Bureau, these interventions have given practical expression to Ogiame Atuwatse III’s vision of a progressive and prosperous Warri Kingdom.
It specifically highlighted the activities of the Royal Iwere Foundation and the establishment of the Iwere Trust Fund.
The Bureau also referenced the monarch’s personal donation of N750 million, describing it as evidence of a profound sense of service and compassion.
It said the initiatives demonstrated that the traditional institution could play a meaningful role in addressing social and economic challenges facing communities.
The Bureau noted that the Olu’s vision extends beyond the preservation of royal traditions, stressing that his leadership has focused on creating opportunities for present and future generations.
It further commended his efforts to promote education and human development, saying that investments in people remain critical to the long-term prosperity of any society.
The organisation also praised the monarch’s cultural initiatives, noting that his reign has combined the preservation of Itsekiri heritage with contemporary development aspirations.
The Bureau described the five-year journey as a “royal renaissance” in which tradition has been married to innovation and the authority of the throne harnessed in the service of the people.
It congratulated Ogiame Atuwatse III on the milestone and expressed optimism that his reign would record even greater achievements in the years ahead.
The Bureau prayed for wisdom, good health, strength and divine protection for the monarch as he continues to lead the ancient Warri Kingdom and represent the interests of the Itsekiri Nation.
