The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo, has commended the Olu of Warri Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, for his sustained efforts to promote peace, unity and development in the Warri metropolis.

Keyamo, who congratulated the monarch on the occasion of his fifth coronation anniversary, said the five-year reign of Ogiame Atuwatse III had been marked by a strong commitment to peace, stability and progress in the Warri Kingdom.

The minister, who was represented at the anniversary celebration by the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Maurice Ojoede, particularly praised the Olu’s recent peace initiatives and engagements with neighbouring traditional institutions.

According to Keyamo, the monarch’s peace overtures are timely and important to strengthening relationships among traditional institutions and communities.

The minister said the Olu of Warri’s approach had further demonstrated the important role traditional rulers can play in resolving differences, building bridges and promoting peaceful coexistence.

Keyamo Urges Olu to Sustain Peace Efforts

Keyamo urged Ogiame Atuwatse III to remain committed to his peace-building initiatives, assuring the monarch of his continued support and goodwill as he provides leadership for the ancient Warri Kingdom.

He said the monarch’s interventions had the potential to strengthen unity and create greater opportunities for development across the Warri metropolis.

The minister was among several prominent Nigerians and dignitaries who attended the fifth coronation anniversary celebration of the Olu of Warri.

Those in attendance included Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas; Minister of Culture, Art and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; traditional rulers, political leaders and other distinguished guests.

The anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to acknowledge the contributions of Ogiame Atuwatse III to peace, cultural renewal and development since his ascension to the throne.

Olu’s Peace Initiatives Attract Wider Commendation
