Momoh Obaro, FCA, MBA, MSc, is a Nigerian accountant, technocrat, entrepreneur, and public servant with more than four decades of professional experience spanning finance, corporate governance, technology, hospitality, agriculture, and public administration.
Over the course of his career, he has earned a reputation for integrity, professionalism, strategic leadership, and a strong commitment to national development.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Obaro combines financial expertise with advanced knowledge in business management and software engineering.
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Software Engineering from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, and a National Diploma (ND) in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
His professional career began at Panel Kerr Forster, Chartered Accountants, where he developed extensive expertise in auditing, taxation, financial management, and corporate advisory services.
He later joined Arewa Hotels Development Company Limited, providing strategic financial leadership within Nigeria’s hospitality sector.
Obaro also served as Director of Finance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he was responsible for overseeing the financial operations of one of Africa’s largest political organisations.
His experience in both the public and private sectors has equipped him with deep insights into governance, institutional management, and fiscal accountability.
Beyond public service, Obaro is an accomplished entrepreneur and the Principal of Work Steps and Associates Limited.
His business interests span consulting, hospitality, agribusiness, and enterprise development, reflecting his commitment to innovation, job creation, sustainable economic growth, and private sector development.
Guided by a passion for good governance and inclusive development, Obaro has participated in Nigeria’s democratic process as a governorship candidate and senatorial candidate in Kogi State.
