The Chief Medical Director of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, has flagged off the distribution of campaign materials in support of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The materials, which include face caps, T-shirts and other sensitisation items, were provided by the CMD to mobilise grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony alongside members of the hospital’s management team, Dr. Folagbade described the health sector policies of both the Tinubu and Ododo administrations as encouraging, expressing optimism that a second term would consolidate ongoing reforms and sustain developmental strides.
He highlighted key achievements in the sector to include improved welfare for medical personnel through increased allowances, prompt payment of salaries, and enhanced healthcare infrastructure across the state.
The CMD also commended the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of primary healthcare centres, describing the administration’s interventions in the health sector as unprecedented.
Dr. Folagbade noted that his support for the Ododo/PBAT Polling Unit Canvassers group through the donation of campaign materials underscores his commitment to ensuring the victory of both leaders at the polls.
He called on residents of the state to continue supporting the APC-led administration in order to maintain the pace of development.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the canvassers’ group, Thompson Alfa, appreciated the CMD for what he described as outstanding support, noting that his commitment to the Tinubu/Ododo project was commendable.
Also speaking, the group’s Technical Adviser, Dr. Ebune Alfa, praised Dr. Folagbade’s leadership at the Specialist Hospital, stating that the facility has witnessed significant improvements since his assumption of office.
