When the hopes of Saliu Babatunde Olabode, Eleworamo Promise Samuel, Fadumo Samuel Babatunde and Omotayo Stephen Oluwaseun was almost lost, humanity has stepped in, restoring their hopes of a better future.
Four young Yagba West indigenes who qualified for the Toyosi Akure-BAO Foundation MBA Scholarship, publicised in 2025, have received a remarkable lifeline after months of uncertainty over their scholarship fees.
Despite the non-payment of their fees by the initial sponsor, Dr. Toyosi Akure-BAO, the Management of the International Business School graciously allowed the students to sit for their first-semester examination through the intervention of the Dean of the School, Dr. MD Eseyin. The gesture he said was in recognition of the students outstanding conduct, active classroom engagement and impressive participation in school activities – though not without several difficult moments and warnings.
They subsequently came out with flying colours in their first semester examination. Yet, their joy was short-lived as the unresolved scholarship payment left them facing repeated calls, embarrassment and pressure from the school. At a point, the four prospective MBA graduates were already considering dropping out of the programme.
At a time when four promising youths were almost giving up on their MBA dreams, a kindhearted soul chose to give them another reason to keep going.
Hon. Ayodeji Mayegun, through the Ayo Mayegun Foundation (AMF), stepped forward and paid ₦3,000,000 (Three Million Naira Only) towards their outstanding fees with ₦920,000 remaining on the collective outstanding balance, which will be paid soonest also.
The timely intervention is more than a financial support; it is a restoration of hope, a rescue of academic dreams and a powerful demonstration of humanitarianism and philanthropy.

This step of a messiah, displayed by Hon. Ayo Mayegun, has again proven to the world that when education is threatened, humanity can intervene and when hope is fading, one kindhearted gesture can keep a dream alive.
May God Almighty richly replenish Hon. Ayodeji Mayegun and the Ayo Mayegun Foundation (AMF), and also, the Dean of the School, Dr. MD Eseyin and grant them greater capacity to continue touching lives and transforming destinies.
Congratulations once again to the prospective MBA graduates of the International Business School. Congratulations to Yagba West. Congratulations to us all! 🎓👏
