The Forum of Imo Democrats (FIMD), has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for upholding the people’s mandate and internal democracy within the party in fielding Hon. Sharp Mbawuike Francis for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency House of Representatives Seat.
FIMD gave the commendation in a statement by its Chairman, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi and Secretary-General, Amb. Chinedu Emereuwa.
With membership cut across the twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas of Imo State, the Forum appreciated party members for the overwhelming support given to Hon. Sharp during the Party’s house of representatives primaries held for mbaitoli/ikeduru federal constituency in Imo State.
While commending APGA’s leadership for considering competence and grassroots acceptance in arriving at its decision on mbaitoli/ikeduru Federal Constituency ticket, the forum described Hon. Francis as the best man for the plum legislative job, having demonstrated capacity then as a successful private sector business man, community and political leader in the State.
“The confidence and widespread acceptance Hon. Sharp Mbawuike enjoyed among the electorate in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency will turn into electoral victory for APGA in next year’s general election
“Hon. Sharp Mbawuike’s emergence as APGA’s candidate for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency is the begining of a new chapter of progress and purposeful leadership in the Federal Constituency and the larger Imo State
“We believe Hon. Sharp Mbawuike Francis has the wherewithal to drive development and uplift rural communities in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency through the attractions of meaningful infrastructural projects and provision of essential amenities across his Constituency when chosen in the coming election as member of the House of representatives”, the statement read.
Aside attracting essential socio-economic and infrastructural projects, the Forum expressed confidence that Hon. Sharp Francis will make a difference by sponsoring result-oriented motions and impactful bills, and make development-oriented laws which will strength all relevant institutions when elected into the Green Chamber.
The Southeast forum also pledged to deliver bulk votes to APGA to ensure the victory and emergence of Hon. Sharp Mbawuike as the member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency at the house of representatives come 2027 elections in Imo State.
