APC Youth Network West Africa Honours Former Nigerian Envoy to Ghana at Farewell Dinner
The All Progressives Congress Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA) has honoured the former Acting Ambassador of Nigeria to Ghana, Ifedayo David Adeoye, at a farewell dinner attended by diplomats, traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth advocates.
The event, organised by the regional youth organisation, celebrated Adeoye’s diplomatic service and his contributions to strengthening relations between Nigeria and Ghana during his tenure.
Speaking at the gathering, the Director-General of APCYN-WA, Hon. Olatunde Igbasan, described Adeoye as a dedicated public servant whose leadership, accessibility, and commitment to service had positively impacted the Nigerian community in Ghana and inspired young people across the West African sub-region.
The occasion attracted several prominent guests, including Ambassador Daniel, Acting Ambassador to Kenya; His Royal Majesty Eze Chucks, Eze Ndigbo of Ghana; HRH Dr. Olaide Mayowa Jose, Alaaye of Dome-Kwabenya; Chief Kalistus, Board Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO); Hon. Babajide Balogun, and other dignitaries from diplomatic, traditional, and community circles.
Speakers at the event commended Adeoye’s efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Ghana, while encouraging him to continue contributing to national development in future public assignments.
In his remarks, Adeoye expressed appreciation to the organisers and attendees for the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to public service and the promotion of stronger regional cooperation within West Africa.

The dinner also provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the importance of diplomacy, youth engagement, and collaboration among West African nations in advancing regional integration and development.
