Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Directorate has commenced an aggressive grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at securing 40 million women votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
The mobilisation campaign will receive further momentum at the APC PCC Women Stakeholders’ Summit scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, in Abuja.
The summit is being convened by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and is expected to bring together women stakeholders from across the country.
Director of the APC PCC Women Mobilisation Directorate, Dr Betta Edu, said on Saturday that the women’s wing was determined to consolidate its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 election.
Edu said the national summit would provide an opportunity for women stakeholders to strengthen their networks, coordinate mobilisation activities and support empowerment initiatives.
She praised the First Lady for convening the summit, describing it as an important gathering for women working towards the re-election bid of the Tinubu-Shettima administration.
According to Edu, the mobilisation campaign is not limited to Abuja, as women organisers are already engaging communities and households nationwide.
“Most of the delegates from the states have already arrived in Abuja, and more are expected. But our community engagements and door-to-door mobilisation have continued across the country,” she said.
She disclosed that the directorate’s mobilisation structure covers 176,846 communities across Nigeria, stressing that grassroots engagement would remain central to the campaign.

Edu also commended state governors and their wives for supporting the participation of women stakeholders at the summit.
She said the women mobilisation exercise was operating on a 100-day sprint, with organisers determined to maintain momentum until the election.
“It is a 100-day sprint, and we will not relent until victory is achieved for President Tinubu. Our strength is in our numbers,” she said.
