Thousands of women in Kwara South Senatorial District have pledged to take the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election to the grassroots ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The women made the commitment during a mobilisation exercise in Offa, coordinated by Hon. Taiye Mutiat Omotosho, Honorary Assistant to the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu.
The exercise is part of a wider community activation programme reportedly targeting 176,846 communities nationwide.

Speaking through her representative, Dr Edu said the women mobilisation structure was being positioned to support the re-election of President Tinubu and other APC candidates.
Omotosho told the gathering that the women would commence door-to-door canvassing and mobilisation after receiving approval from Dr Edu.
“I mobilised these thousands of women you are seeing here today on the directive of my boss and Director of Women Mobilisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu,” she said.
She added that Dr Edu would visit the district personally to engage the women and communicate the administration’s Renewed Hope 2.0 message.
The women, according to the organisers, expressed strong enthusiasm and pledged to replicate the mobilisation across communities, wards and polling units.
They said women would be central to the APC’s grassroots campaign strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
Omotosho subsequently appealed to the women to remain united and maintain the momentum generated by the mobilisation..

She described the gathering as the beginning of a broader initiative to strengthen the APC’s women structure in Kwara State and across the country.
The mobilisation comes as political parties and campaign structures increasingly focus on grassroots organisation and voter engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
