The people of Yagba East , especially critical stakeholders and supporters of Hon. Almaruf Salimonu, have been commended for their show of love at supporting his ambition to represent the people of the Area at the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Hon. Salimonu in a Press Statement in Lokoja – the State Capital, explained that what he experienced during the consultation process was nothing short of unconditional love from his people, whom he described as men and women with proven integrity.
He said he has accepted the decision reached by the All Progressives Congress APC at a critical meeting at the Government House to return the incumbent, Hon. Obaro, and congratulated him for being found worthy to serve the people again ahead of the Party’s Primaries.
Almaruf pointed out that the Party’s decision is supreme, advising the people, especially his supporters to see the development as the will of God.
“Now I can boldly say that I am loved by people because of immeasurable love they poured on me during consultation process to represent the good people of Yagba East at the Kogi State House of Assembly. My decision to join the race was borne out of my desire for a better Yagba East, not for personal gains.
“The Party has reached a decision and I respect and humbly accept it. I want to use this medium to appreciate my supporters and critical stakeholders for the massive love. May almighty Allah reward you all (Amin)”, he stressed.
Hon. Almaruf said he remained resolute and hopeful for future opportunities, adding that he will work for the victory of the Party.
“To the Chief Servant of our dear State, His Excellency , Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo – Executive Governor and our Supreme Leader, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, I believe in you, believe in your judgement and directives. I remain loyal and committed to the progress of our great Party, APC”, he added.
