A former Chairman of Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue State, Hon. Moses Shirsha, has died just four days after the shocking demise of his wife, Mercy Mngu, throwing the community into grief and disbelief.
Mercy Mngu, who was said to be in good health, reportedly died unexpectedly on March 25, 2026.

Following his wife’s death, Hon. Shirsha travelled to his hometown to commence burial arrangements.
However, tragedy struck again as he reportedly slumped and died on March 29, 2026, in his village, compounding the sorrow already engulfing the family.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, both husband and wife are scheduled to be laid to rest on the same day, Friday, April 10, 2026, in Mbaasuku, Mbator Gaav, within Konshisha Local Government Area.
