Toto/Gadabuke 2027: Tashas Appoints Yahaya Idris Toto as Spokesperson
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and aspirant for the Toto/Gadabuke State Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has appointed Yahaya Idris Toto as his official spokesperson ahead of the 2027 electioneering campaign.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Tashas, a former Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, described Idris—popularly known as the “Oracle of the New Media”—as a seasoned media strategist with a proven track record in political communication and public engagement.
He noted that the appointment builds on a long-standing professional relationship, adding that both men had worked closely in the past.
Tashas further highlighted Idris’ academic and professional background, noting that he is a Philosophy graduate of the Federal University Lokoja and has participated in several media trainings and workshops within and outside the state.
The APC chieftain also recalled that Idris served as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity during his tenure as council chairman, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively manage campaign communications and public relations.
According to Tashas, the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen his public image and ensure the effective dissemination of his policies, programmes, and campaign activities throughout the election period.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Toto/Gadabuke, Tashas said his ambition to represent the constituency in the State Assembly is driven by a desire to deliver quality representation, impactful leadership, and accelerated development.
He added that his administration, during his three-year tenure as council chairman, executed key developmental projects across the three districts of the local government, and appealed for continued support to enable him to achieve more if elected.
