Beyond all reasonable doubts, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is truly proving to all that his emergence as sole candidate and subsequent victory as the Executive Governor of Kogi State was never a mistake. But before then, when the searchlight was beamed on him by his Predecessor – His Excellency , Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, we underrated him but today we have come to realize that F-GYB made the best choice by picking Ododo because of his antecedents since his assumption of Office.
Ododo is simply one of the few we can boldly refer to as a quiet Achiever in today’s contemporary world and in the Leadership circle. He has been committed to promoting democracy in the State and with what he is doing presently, he will likely become the best Governor Kogi ever produced. His approach to people, his humility and his love for all is undeniable. He lives a simple yet focused life. He tolerates everyone (but his humility must not be taken for granted). Ododo is a master strategist, he has truly learnt the ropes from his Boss F-GYB.
In terms of road infrastructure, he has achieved a lot. He is one of the few Governors that started full salary payment to civil servants and he is so committed to it. Very recently, he commissioned a new Security outfit to safeguard Kogi forests. He is not resting on his oars at tackling security challenges.
In all facets of governance, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is making an undeniable impact. He is committing his time and energy to making friends across board, ensuring that everyone is carried along in his governance irrespective of tribe, religion or what have you. He is not a lone ranger, he is a team player. He surrounds himself with people and he is a good listener. He accords respect for the elders, youth and everyone he comes in contact with.
For this we say, the choice of ODODO by F-GYB, is indeed, a blessing to Kogi State.
