Kogi West Constituents Back Karimi, Declare Second Term Bid Non-Negotiable
Stakeholders across Kogi West Senatorial District have reaffirmed their support for Senator Sunday Karimi, insisting that his second term bid is non-negotiable amid what they describe as growing evidence of effective representation.
Residents and political actors in the district said they are unwilling to return to an era marked by unfulfilled promises and ineffective leadership, noting that the current administration has delivered measurable progress across the district.
Our correspondent gathered that constituents pointed to visible development projects and increased engagement in local government areas such as Yagba West, Yagba East, Mopa-Amuro, Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Lokoja, and Kogi as clear indicators of performance under Karimi’s tenure.
The stakeholders also dismissed moves by what they described as “a handful of desperate actors” attempting to sway public opinion, maintaining that no amount of propaganda or coordinated opposition can override the collective will of the people or diminish ongoing achievements.
They argued that the current political moment goes beyond routine competition, stressing the importance of consolidating gains already made rather than risking a return to what they termed failed leadership patterns.
The group further cautioned against individuals who surface only during election periods without a verifiable track record of service to the district.
Reiterating their stance, the constituents described Kogi West as politically aware and committed to results-driven leadership, emphasizing that there would be no compromise or reversal in their demand for continuity in representation.
