Gaya Urges Supporters to Remain Calm, Reaffirms Loyalty to APC
Former member of the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has appealed to his supporters and political associates to remain calm and peaceful following recent political developments in the Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu Federal Constituency.
Gaya, in a statement issued on Friday in Kano through his Media Directorate, called for unity among members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing the need to place collective interest above personal ambition.
“At this critical moment, I urge all my supporters to remain calm, united, and committed to the APC. Politics is about service, sacrifice, and putting our people’s interests above personal ambition,” he stated.
The former lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to the development and welfare of the people of Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu, noting that his loyalty to both the constituency and the APC remained unwavering.
He disclosed that after extensive consultations with stakeholders and political associates, he decided to withdraw his aspiration in the interest of peace, unity and the continued strength of the party.
“This decision was not made out of weakness, but out of concern for our people and a desire to preserve harmony within the APC family,” he said.
Gaya assured his supporters that he remained appreciative of their loyalty and support, pledging not to take their commitment for granted.
“I hear your voices, I value your advice, and I remain committed to standing with you. Your prayers, encouragement, and belief in our shared vision inspire me daily,” he added.
He further urged APC members across the constituency to close ranks and work collectively for the success of the party in future elections.
The former federal lawmaker also prayed for sustained peace, unity and progress in the constituency and Kano State at large.
