Ekom Ayaka unveils Leadership Experience Ahead of NAPS Presidency Bid

Comrade Ekom Peter Ayaka has outlined his leadership experience as part of his campaign for the presidency of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), citing years of involvement in student representation at institutional and national levels.

According to his profile, Ayaka’s leadership journey began during his early education, where he served as Head Boy in primary school and later at Revival Thunder International College, Odubu.

He is said to have demonstrated leadership qualities through his roles in student administration.

His active participation in student unionism commenced in 2017 when he was elected Director of Socials of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) at Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia.

In 2023, he was elected President of the Students’ Union Government of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, where he focused on students’ welfare and institutional engagement.

At the national level, Ayaka served as North Central Coordinator of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and Secretary of the North Central Coordinators’ Forum.

During his tenure, he was involved in coordinating student activities across the region, promoting collaboration among stakeholders, and advocating initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of polytechnic students.

Supporters of Ayaka say his leadership record and experience have positioned him for the NAPS presidency.

They argue that, if elected, he would provide accountable leadership, strengthen the association, promote student empowerment, enhance stakeholder engagement, and advance the interests of Nigerian polytechnic students nationwide.
