The Delta Mandate, a prominent political support group in Delta State, has inaugurated its Ukwuani Local Government Area chapter, charging members to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election in the 2027 governorship election.
The inauguration and strategic meeting took place on Friday, August 1, 2026, at the country home of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security and Ukwuani Local Government Coordinator of Delta Mandate, Chief Isaac Onyesom, in Umukwata.
The meeting brought together the newly inaugurated chapter executives, ward coordinators and key stakeholders, who reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the political structure of the support group across the local government area.
Addressing members, Chief Onyesom urged them to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals and objectives of Delta Mandate, stressing that loyalty, dedication and sustained grassroots engagement would be crucial to the success of the organisation’s mission.
He stated that the group’s principal objective is to ensure the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027 while mobilising widespread support for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Delta State during the general elections.
According to him, grassroots mobilisation remains the foundation of every successful political campaign, urging members to work tirelessly to expand the group’s presence in every ward and polling unit within Ukwuani Local Government Area.
Chief Onyesom further directed ward coordinators to intensify community outreach by taking the campaign to every electoral unit, ensuring that the vision and message of Delta Mandate resonate across all communities in the council area.
He noted that sustained engagement at the grassroots would strengthen the organisation’s political structure, deepen public participation and enhance its readiness ahead of the 2027 elections.
The coordinator also encouraged members to remain united, disciplined and focused, expressing confidence that a well-coordinated mobilisation strategy would contribute significantly to Governor Oborevwori’s electoral success.
