The people of Kogi State have been described as major beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Agenda following the visit of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, to commission key projects in the state.
A prominent community leader, Chief Richard Asaje, stated this while reacting to the President Wife’s visit to the Confluence State.
Chief Asaje commended the First Lady for her continued commitment to women, youth, and community development across Nigeria, noting that the projects commissioned during the visit cut across critical sectors including health, empowerment, food security, and treasury, which are designed to directly improve the standard of living of ordinary citizens.
According to him, the presence of the Mother of the Nation in Kogi is a clear indication that the state remains central to the development plans of the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The projects, which includes National Community Food Bank Project for North Central, the New Kogi State Treasury House (Office Complex), Flag Off of Women Empowerment Scheme and a Healthcare Centre will impact the lives of Kogites positively. They are not just structures, but investments in our people and in our future
“From the health facilities that will provide better care, to the empowerment programs that will create opportunities for our women and youths, this is governance that touches the grassroots. We are grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for aligning Kogi State with the Renewed Hope Agenda”, Chief Asaje said.
He further urged residents of the state to take ownership of the projects and ensure they are well maintained for sustained impact.
Chief Asaje, who is the Founder and National Coordinator of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, also expressed confidence that with continued collaboration between the federal and state governments, more developmental initiatives will be attracted to Kogi State.
