The appointment of Dr. Abdullahi Bello, immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kogi State as Commissioner Designate for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, has been described as commendable.
The Founder and National Coordinator of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje, gave the commendation while reacting to the news of development in the Confluence State.
Chief Asaje said Dr. Bello have been close to traditional Institutions and knows his onions, noting that he will deliver the needed results in his new assignment.
The Elder statesman described Dollar’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole, urging him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his duties.
Chief Asaje called for more collaboration between Traditional rulers and the State Government for better results, stressing that a cohesive working relationship between the two will transform the State the more.
He prayed for more of Allah’s wisdom and direction to enable the new Commissioner deliver the required results in his new Office.
Following the resignation of Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf as Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo approved the redeployment of Barrister Salami Ozigi Deedat from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Ministry of Works.
The development also led the Governor to approve the appointment of Dr. Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), immediate Past Chairman of APC in Kogi State as Commissioner Designate and expected to be screened and confirmed by the State House of Assembly in no distant time.
