The Chairman of the Labour Party in Kogi State, Hon. Ahmed Suleiman Abdul, has enjoined Christians in the State to draw strength from the season’s message of sacrifice, hope and renewal.
Hon. Abdul in a Goodwill Message in Lokoja, explained that Easter is a reminder that light triumphs over darkness, calling on Christian faithful to let that spirit guide their conduct at home, work and in politics.
The chairman enjoined residents not to give in to despair despite prevailing challenges, stressing the values of compassion, forgiveness and resilience that the resurrection of Jesus Christ embodies.
He appealed for unity across ethnic, religious and political lines in the Confluence State, saying sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace.
He encouraged party faithful to be examples of integrity and service in their communities by visiting the vulnerable, supporting the less privileged, and promoting peaceful coexistence as the state continues to pursue progress.
While wishing Christians a peaceful and joyous celebration, Hon. Abdul added that the party remains committed to working with all Kogites for a more prosperous and secured State.
