Gov. Sule Urges Unity, Harmony at ECWA Pastors’ Wives Convention

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has emphasized the importance of religious harmony and unity in the State.
He stated this at the ECWA Spiritual Mothers in Ministry (ESMIM) and 2026 international convention held at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State, on Friday.
The ECWA Pastors’ Wives Convention drew wives of the clergy from all ECWA Churches within Nigeria and neighboring countries like Chad and Cameroon, among others, where issues promoting harmony and prayers for peaceful coexistence took center stage.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by Venerable Jibrailu Yarima Dabong, JP, SSA, Christian Religious Matters to the Governor of Nasarawa State, reiterated that hosting this international event in Nasarawa State indicates that the state is peaceful and people are united irrespective of religious differences.
He called on all religious bodies not to hesitate to host such a program in Nasarawa State, which is crucial for promoting harmony among community members, saying interfaith tolerance is one of the things that bring development to the society.
“As wives of spiritual leaders, may you be vessels of peace, spreading love, harmony, and God’s presence wherever you go.”
“Together, let’s cultivate peace and unity in our homes, communities, and state.”
In their address, ECWA President Rev. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam and General Secretary Rev. Ayuba Asheshe said the convention is particularly significant because it brings together pastors’ wives from different parts of the church and mission fields to reflect, pray, and learn within the family.
They called on participants to use the lessons from the convention to promote peace in their families and the church.
In her presentation on Pastors’ Wives and social media, Mrs. Christy Dasaro, the ICT Coordinator of ESMIM, charged them to use social media for objective purposes, urging them to desist from wrong usage.
Mrs. Deborah Mipo Dadang spoke on behalf of former wives of the General Secretaries of ECWA from 2005 to 2010, saying pastors’ wives are in the battle, urging them to take responsibility, sacrifice for God’s work, and pray for their children to succeed.
The event featured lectures on different topics, prayers, and a songs ministry.
