Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Toto/Gadabuke State Constituency, Hon. (Alhaji) Usman Dauda, has appealed to the people of to the constituents to support his aspiration to serve in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Dauda said his ambition is centred on providing effective representation and ensuring that the concerns of constituents receive adequate attention at the state legislative level.
He explained that his aspiration is not about occupying a political office but about using the opportunity to contribute to the development of Toto/Gadabuke and the wider Toto Local Government Area.

The candidate said previous and incumbent lawmakers had established a foundation upon which further development could be built.
He promised to sustain existing efforts while advocating additional attention to key areas that require government intervention.
Dauda further called on stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women and other residents to rally behind the SDP and its candidates in the 2027 elections.
He said the party is prepared to offer leadership that prioritises governance, security, empowerment and the provision of social amenities.
The SDP candidate thanked all stakeholders and members of the public for their acceptance of the party in Toto Local Government.
He assured the people that their confidence would be reciprocated with commitment, accountability and dedication if he receives the mandate to represent them.
