The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA), Honourable Olatunde Igbasan, has continued his food support initiative aimed at assisting members of the public and giving back to society.

The outreach programme, which has been ongoing for several weeks, involves the distribution of food support to members of the public as part of efforts to assist people facing economic challenges.

The programme is being sponsored by Igbasan in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with organisers describing it as part of their efforts to promote grassroots engagement and social support.

Speaking on the initiative, APCYN-WA official Honourable Bolowotan said Igbasan’s commitment to the programme was rooted in his personal understanding of the struggles faced by ordinary Nigerians.

Bolowotan noted that Igbasan did not come from a privileged background, adding that his experience growing up without a silver spoon has given him an understanding of the difficulties many Nigerians face.

He said this background had encouraged the APCYN-WA Director-General to dedicate part of his resources to supporting people who need assistance.

According to him, the food outreach is not simply a one-off gesture but part of Igbasan’s continued commitment to touching lives and supporting vulnerable members of society.

“His concern is about the people and how he can make a positive impact,” Bolowotan said, stressing that the programme was designed to provide practical assistance to beneficiaries.

Outreach Reaches Members of the Public

The initiative has continued to provide food support to members of the public over several weeks, with beneficiaries receiving assistance through the programme.

The organisers said the sustained nature of the initiative demonstrates Igbasan’s commitment to supporting people beyond words.

Bolowotan further explained that the programme is intended to provide some relief to families and individuals who may be experiencing financial difficulties.

He said the gesture reflects the belief that political and community leaders should remain connected to the people and understand their everyday challenges.

The official also encouraged other individuals and organisations with the capacity to support vulnerable Nigerians to consider similar initiatives.

Supporting the Less Privileged

According to the organisers, the food outreach is part of a broader effort to demonstrate compassion and contribute to society.

Bolowotan said Igbasan believes that leadership should be measured not only by positions held but also by the positive impact made in the lives of ordinary people.

He added that the APCYN-WA initiative would continue to focus on people-oriented activities capable of strengthening grassroots relationships and supporting communities.
