Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated with the Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
The governor, in a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, described Mayuku as a man of “prodigious intellect” whose career in law, legislation, public service and community development had demonstrated remarkable capacity, versatility and commitment to the advancement of Delta State.
Oborevwori said Mayuku had distinguished himself over the years through his contributions to legal practice, lawmaking and legislative advocacy, as well as his efforts towards promoting unity and building bridges across ethnic and tribal divides.
According to the governor, the celebrant’s public career reflects a sustained commitment to service and the development of society.
Oborevwori Recalls Mayuku’s DESOPADEC Service
Governor Oborevwori recalled Mayuku’s tenure as Executive Director, Projects, at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, where he contributed to the implementation of development projects across oil-producing communities.
He said Mayuku’s experience in the commission further demonstrated his commitment to addressing the developmental needs of communities and contributing to the growth of the state.
The governor also highlighted Mayuku’s legislative career as a member representing Warri South-West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
During his tenure in the Assembly, Mayuku served in several key capacities, including Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Chairman of the Finance and Appropriation Committee and Chairman of the Education Committee, among others.
Governor Hails Mayuku’s Public Service
Oborevwori commended the former legislator for his years of dedicated service and contributions to governance, particularly his commitment to legislative development, public administration and the advancement of society.
He said Mayuku’s experience across the legal, legislative and executive arms of public service had contributed to his effectiveness as a public servant and community leader.
The governor also acknowledged his efforts towards promoting peaceful coexistence and strengthening relationships across ethnic and tribal communities.

Oborevwori expressed confidence that Mayuku would continue to deploy his experience and knowledge towards the peace, security and development of Delta State.

The governor wished Mayuku a happy 60th birthday and many more years of fruitful service to humanity.
