The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District has announced a strategic meeting of elders, party leaders and stakeholders as part of efforts to strengthen unity, consolidate party structures and fine-tune strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a notice issued by the Delta State APC Vice Chairman and Chairman of Delta North, Engr. Chief Ossai Daniel, the high-level meeting is scheduled to hold on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Marquee by Jefferson, beside the WAEC Office on WAEC Road, Asaba.

The meeting, themed “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E. Agenda,” is expected to attract a broad spectrum of the party’s leadership and elected officials from the nine local government areas that make up Delta North Senatorial District.
Among those invited are the Deputy Governor of Delta State, the immediate past governor from Delta North, serving and former senators, ministers, members of the House of Representatives, former governorship and deputy governorship candidates, as well as serving and former members of the Delta State House of Assembly who are members of the APC.
The notice also listed serving and former party executives at the national, zonal, senatorial, state and local government levels, federal government appointees from Delta North, serving and former commissioners, Secretaries to the State Government, senior special advisers, directors-general, managing directors of government agencies, governing council chairmen, board chairmen, and members of state commissions and boards as participants expected at the gathering.
In addition, serving and former special advisers from Delta North, APC local government chairmen, vice chairmen, secretaries, women leaders and youth leaders across the district’s nine local government areas have been invited to participate.
The invitation was further extended to serving council chairmen and vice chairmen, former local government chairmen, five party leaders from each ward in the senatorial district, all APC candidates for the 2027 general elections, and aspirants who participated in the recently concluded APC primaries.
Party leaders said the meeting is designed to deepen internal cohesion, review emerging political developments within Delta North, and build consensus on strategies that will position the APC for electoral success in the 2027 polls.

Political observers believe the gathering will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to reinforce support for the party’s programmes and align with both the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government and the M.O.R.E. Agenda in Delta State.
The meeting is expected to produce resolutions aimed at strengthening party unity, mobilising grassroots support and enhancing the APC’s readiness for future political engagements across Delta North Senatorial District.
