Nasarawa Speaker Hails Wadada’s APC Primary Victory, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027
Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has congratulated Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada on his emergence as the 2027 governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State.
Dr. Jatau also felicitated with Governor Abdullahi Sule, the APC leadership, stakeholders and the people of the state, describing Wadada’s victory at the party’s gubernatorial primary election as “a victory for democracy and the people of Nasarawa State.”
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Lafia on Saturday, the Speaker said Senator Wadada’s emergence reflected the confidence and trust reposed in him by party stakeholders and members across the state.
He described the APC candidate’s victory as well-deserved, citing his political antecedents, track record of achievements and contributions to the growth and development of the party.
“The victory of Senator Wadada is a clear indication of the support and acceptance he enjoys from APC stakeholders, party officials and members across the state,” the Speaker stated.
Dr. Jatau commended APC stakeholders and members for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the primary election process, noting that the exercise demonstrated the party’s commitment to democratic principles.
The Speaker, however, called for greater teamwork, unity and reconciliation among party members ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged all aspirants and their supporters to close ranks and work collectively for the success of the APC in the state.
Dr. Jatau further assured Senator Wadada and the APC leadership of his commitment and determination to work for the victory of the party in 2027.
