The Founder and National Coordinator of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje, has expressed jubilation following the announcement that former Kogi State Governor – Yahaya Adoza Bello has secured the All Progressives Congress APC, ticket for the Kogi Central Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Chief Asaje in a statement, described the outcome as a reflection of the party’s recognition of Bello’s political structure and influence in the Central Senatorial District and beyond.
According to Chief Asaje, Bello’s emergence as the APC candidate represents continuity in representation and an opportunity to leverage his experience in governance for the benefit of the people of Kogi Central.
He noted that the former governor’s track record in infrastructure, youth engagement, and party mobilization positioned him as a strong contender capable of advancing the Constituency’s interests at the National Assembly.
Chief Asaje called on APC members and supporters in Kogi Central to unite behind the candidate, stressing that cohesion within the party would be crucial for electoral success.
He expressed confidence that Bello’s candidacy would translate into stronger advocacy for the district’s development priorities and more effective engagement with Federal Institutions.
