The Egbira National Students Association (ENSA), Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Chapter, has commended the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, for fulfilling his campaign promises through the provision of bursaries to students across higher institutions.

The commendation was made on Saturday during a courtesy visit by the association to the Director-General and Aide to the Senator, Alhaji Abubakar Idris Gegu, at his residence in Gegu Beki, Kogi Local Government Area

The students lauded Senator Karimi’s continued support for Egbira students both within and outside Kogi State, noting that his educational intervention has so much alleviated the financial challenges faced by many beneficiaries.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Comrade Attahiru Ibn Yunusa, Director of Academics, ENSA Kogi Poly, said the visit was also to express solidarity with the Senator and appreciation for his commitment to students’ welfare.

According to him, the bursary initiative has had a positive impact on students, easing the burden of tuition and other academic expenses.

“This is the kind of initiative students truly need. Having a representative who understands the challenges of students and is willing to support them is something we deeply value,” he said.

He added that the delegation used the opportunity to brief the Senator’s Aide on preparations for the forthcoming ENSA Day Celebration and Award Ceremony, while also extending a formal invitation to the lawmaker.

The students expressed gratitude for the gesture and prayed for continued blessings and success for the Senator.

In response, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Gegu, on behalf of Senator Karimi, appreciated the students for the visit and reaffirmed the Senator’s commitment to supporting education and youth development.
