The Bobagunwa of Igbaruku, High Chief Richard Folorunsho Asaje, has called on youths and community stakeholders in Igbaruku, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, to embrace love, peace and solidarity as non-negotiable foundations for sustainable development.

Speaking at a Youth and Stakeholders Engagement Meeting convened at his residence in Igbaruku, the community leader said the current social and economic challenges facing the nation can only be overcome when citizens deliberately choose unity over division and cooperation over conflict.

The bridge-builder told participants that Igbaruku and the wider Okunland, must model the spirit of mutual coexistence where no one’s progress denies another, urging young people to reject violence, political thuggery and divisive rhetoric.

“A peaceful community welcomes development and disputes should be resolved through dialogue, alternative dispute resolution and respect for traditional institutions”, he noted.
