As political activities ahead of the 2027 General Elections continue to gather momentum, the leadership of the Coalition of Grassroot Movement and the Renewed Hope Alive Movement (RHAM) has intensified consultations aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation across Imo State.
The high-level strategic meeting, held in Owerri, brought together the State Coordinator of the Coalition of Grassroot Movement, Chief Ambassador Anthony Humphrey Unaji (Kabiyesi), and the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Alive Movement (RHAM), Comrade Irodili C. Iroegbu (Paxman), to deliberate on strategies for expanding grassroots political participation and fostering greater civic engagement.

The meeting focused on reviewing the political landscape in Imo State, strengthening collaboration between the two organisations, and developing practical strategies to deepen grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 27 Local Government Areas ahead of the next general elections.
During the discussions, the two leaders applauded the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, describing his leadership as instrumental in driving infrastructure development, improving security, empowering youths and women, enhancing healthcare and education, and promoting economic growth across the state.
According to them, the governor’s developmental initiatives have continued to shape Imo’s progress while inspiring confidence among residents through people-oriented governance.
Chief Unaji and Comrade Iroegbu reaffirmed that grassroots mobilisation remains a vital pillar of democratic development and sustainable political participation.
They pledged to strengthen collaboration between their organisations to promote civic education, encourage peaceful political engagement, and build stronger community-based structures capable of increasing citizens’ participation in the electoral process.
The leaders also agreed to deepen the strategic partnership between the Coalition of Grassroot Movement and RHAM, describing the alliance as a platform for unity, collaboration, responsible political participation, and community development.
