2027: Bello Endorses Bisimillahi for Kogi West Senate Race

Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello, has endorsed All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Kogi West District, Tajudeen Bisimillahi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bisimillahi disclosed that he received the former governor’s backing during a meeting in which he formally presented his Expression of Interest to contest the APC ticket.
According to him, Bello also offered words of encouragement and congratulated him in advance of the party’s forthcoming senatorial primaries.
The aspirant used the opportunity to reaffirm his long-standing loyalty to Bello, noting that his relationship with the former governor dates back to the period when Bello first emerged as governor of Kogi State.
He said his early support was driven by a personal commitment to stand for Ebira interests, a resolve he maintained over the years.
Bisimillahi emphasised that his support for Bello and the APC has remained consistent and unconditional, adding that he has stood by the party through different political phases without seeking personal reward.
He further stated that the former governor acknowledged his dedication and described him as “one in a million,” urging him to remain steadfast.
The APC aspirant also called on his supporters and stakeholders in Kogi West to rally behind his ambition, expressing confidence in securing the party’s ticket and emerging victorious in the 2027 senatorial election.

I am delighted to share that our leader, Yahaya Bello (FGY😎, has congratulated me in advance on the forthcoming Kogi West Senatorial primaries. I received his encouragement when I formally presented my Expression of Interest to him
During our meeting, I reaffirmed my unwavering loyalty and long-standing commitment. My relationship with His Excellency dates back to the time his name was first announced as Governor of Kogi State. Even before we met, I reached out in support, inspired by the goodwill I once received from an Ebira son, Aliyu Abdullah. In appreciation of that earlier support in my life, I made a personal commitment to always stand for Ebira interests. That resolve laid the foundation for a relationship with FGYB that has now spanned over a decade and continues to grow stronger.
Let it be clearly stated that I have remained steadfast and loyal from the very beginning—through all seasons, without hesitation and without expectation of personal gain. My support has never been conditional, and it remains unwavering to this day.
Loyalty to the Party:
For nearly two decades, I have dedicated my time, energy, and resources to the progress of our party, without seeking or receiving any form of compensation—be it appointments or rewards. My commitment has always been driven by conviction and belief in our shared vision.
His Excellency, FGYB, acknowledged this dedication and encouraged me to remain steadfast, describing me as “one in a million.”
However, Senator Smart Adeyemi, whom I met by chance, informed me that he had already purchased his nomination form. He openly promised to step down if all aspirants agree to support me as the candidate. He also affirmed, in good faith and as a committed Christian, that he believes I have the capacity, credibility, and all it takes to represent Kogi West effectively. On this note, I encourage other aspirants to consider making the same commitment.
I therefore call on all supporters and well-wishers to join FGYB in congratulating me as your incoming Senator for Kogi West.
