The leading House of Assembly hopeful in Yagba East, Hon. Almaruf Salimonu has congratulated Muslim constituents on the celebration of 2026 Eid al-Fitr, describing the festival as a moment of thanksgiving and renewal after the discipline of Ramadan.
Hon. Almaruf In his Goodwill Message, praised Muslim faithful for their steadfastness in prayer, charity and self-denial throughout the holy month of Ramadan, dedicated solely to serving Allah and humanity than ever before.
Almaruf urged residents to carry on the values of Ramadan, including compassion, humility and generosity into everyday life, noting that such principles strengthen social cohesion and create the atmosphere needed for sustainable progress in Yagba East, where collaboration among neighbours remains essential.

The Business tycoon called for unity and religious harmony, appealing to people of different faiths to uphold mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
He encouraged religious and traditional leaders, youth associations and women groups to deepen dialogue and tolerance, stressing that development thrives best in a climate of understanding.
The aspirant also highlighted practical areas for collective action, including support for education, youth skills training, environmental sanitation and access to primary healthcare, stressing that these grassroots efforts, driven by community participation, can deliver tangible improvements across wards and expand opportunities for young people.
