Sen. Sunday Karimi, the Senator Representing Kogi West chose the WRONG place (Kabba) Owe land and the WRONG time to come and sow his seed of discord between Kogi West and Kogi Central. He should have chosen Egbe Day or any other community event to come and speak from both side of his mouth.
Interestingly, this non performing Senator is fighting the same person that against all odds, gave him the MANDATE he is presently enjoying. We will tell whoever is paying him to blow this political pipe that same way he is being ungrateful to FGYB is the same way (if not worst), he will treat his present POLITICAL pay Masters.
Karimi has forgotten so soon that we the people of the Okun nation don’t have the numerical POLITICAL strength to win the Governorship seat of the State except we work in synergy with our brothers that we have been dealing with since our days in Kwara State, who have NEVER betrayed us.
It will interest all of you to know that it is on record that an Okun politician who has suddenly become political bedfellow with Karimi was the one that came with Ankara materials and 5k to work against our Okun son in the last gubernatorial election that produced Ododo.
Himself, his co-travellers and rabble rousers are always fond of saying OKUN FOR GOVERNOR as if our kith and kins from other parts of the Western SENATORIAL district are not one United family. They have started their subtle game of playing into the hands of some still hurting from political defeat who believe it is THEIR political birthright to continually stay in Lugard House as Chief landlord.
We are sounding it crystal clear and resoundingly loud that Ododo 4+4 is sacrosanct as we are guaranteed of support of the people of the Central Senatorial people – giving us full backing when it is time for the Western SENATORIAL district to come out.
On a final note, we are craving the indulgence of ALL well-meaning Okun people to STOP the habit of saying “OKUN FOR GOVERNOR” at every given opportunity as that may jeopardize our chance of getting the support of our other brothers, eg the Nupes, Oworo/Bassa and Hausa as we have equal stakes to the seat when eventually zoned to the WEST. We should desist from behaving like LANDLORD of the Western SENATORIAL district simply because we are fortunate to be the headquarter.
The cordial working, political synergy currently existing between us and the Central Senatorial District should not be jeopardized in any way neither should we allow some unscrupulous political ELEMENTS who are not sure if they will return to the SENATE as a result of under performance, come and scuttle the bright political Future that lies ahead of Us.
Let us throw our full weight behind the second term ambition of His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo. We have NEVER seen where a Governor who is doing creditably well, being changed on the platform of ethnicity or for whatever sinister motive. We call on Okun sons and daughters to listen to good reasoning, let Us tread softly. Let us not allow the ambition of One Eko for SHOW political personality come and box us into a political tight corner.
