Wadada Supporters in Keffi Endorse Gov. Sule’s Zoning Decision, Back Western Zone for Governorship

The Supporters of Senator Wadada in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have thrown their weight behind Governor Abdullahi Sule’s decision to return the governorship seat to the Western Senatorial Zone in 2027.
This endorsement came during a solidarity rally organized by the group, where they expressed confidence in Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada as a capable candidate to succeed Governor Sule and continue driving economic development and good governance in the state.
They cladded in white dresses, took queue from the emir of Keffi’s palace and matched through the major streets, chanting APC solidarity song and later terminated at Wadada’s campaign office located at GRA.
The rally was organised in support of Governor Sule, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senator Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
Speaking before the commencement of the rally, the Director General of Senator Wadada’s campaign organisation, Lamaran Bello, said the event was organised to demonstrate confidence in the leadership of Governor Sule and President Tinubu.

According to him, the rally was also aimed at reaffirming the group’s support for the return of the governorship seat to the Western Zone under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
He noted that the Western Zone has waited for over two decades while the governorship rotated among other zones in the state, stressing that it was only fair and just for the zone to be given the opportunity to produce the next governor.
Bello expressed confidence that if the Western Zone is considered, Senator Wadada stands out among other aspirants as the most capable candidate to continue the developmental strides of the current administration, added that the group visited the palace to seek royal blessings before proceeding with the rally across the local government area.
Speaking on behalf of the Emir of Keffi, the Fakacin Keffi, Alhaji Shamsudeen Maikasuwa, offered prayers for the success of the group’s aspirations and urged supporters to conduct themselves peacefully, expressing the Emirate Council’s support for the move to return the governorship position to the Western Zone, stating that such a decision would promote fairness and inclusivity.
He further noted that Senator Wadada has already demonstrated commitment to development through various projects, particularly in rural communities, saying that if given the opportunity to govern the state, Wadada would provide inclusive leadership without discrimination based on political affiliation, religion, or ethnicity.
Highpoint of the rally was a procession led by the Director General and other supporters, drawn from 10 electoral wards and communities within Keffi Local Government Area, publicly declaring their support for Governor Sule and Senator Wadada’s ambition.
