The CTC release has finally quashed all speculations, deliberate distortions, and misinformation spread by mischief-makers. Far from issuing a new or contradictory ruling, the Federal High Court merely enforced the existing Supreme Court judgment on Labour Party leadership.

This ruling is straightforward and unequivocal. It resolves the party’s leadership dispute and mandates compliance from all parties and institutions.With this legal clarity now in place, stakeholders must align their actions accordingly.

There is no room for ongoing disputes, rival claims, or twisted interpretations of the court’s explicit directives.On a personal note, I, Oluchi Oparah, fully served my tenure as National Treasurer of the Labour Party—alongside Mr. Julius Abure and others whose terms expired long ago. I have always upheld this fact.

Yet, despite this reality, myself and other former NWC members are still wrongly listed as active executives. This distortion ignores the party’s current legal and constitutional framework, highlighting INEC’s urgent need to update its records in line with court orders.INEC, as political parties’ regulator, must act immediately: delete my name, Mr. Abure’s, and those of other expired NWC members from its website and records.

Replace them with Distinguished Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, the legitimate National Chairman, and her recognized National Working Committee.INEC must also grant Senator Nenadi Usman and Distinguished Senator Darlington Nwokocha full rights, recognition, and privileges due their offices, just as it did for prior leadership under the law.
