The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has commended the peaceful and transparent conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Congress in Kokona Local Government Area, while tasking the newly elected executives across the state to redouble efforts toward the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

Addressing journalists shortly after the exercise in Garaku, the state’s number three citizen on Saturday hailed the maturity displayed by all critical stakeholders, noting that the local government officials emerged through consensus in strict adherence to party guidelines.

“The conduct of the exercise was peaceful, transparent, and rancour-free,” Dr. Jatau declared, appreciating the collective commitment that ensured a hitch-free process and urging other LGAs in Nasarawa to emulate Kokona’s exemplary model for the unity, progress, and development of the APC.

Dr. Jatau, who congratulated the new executives in Kokona while extending the message statewide, emphasized the need for diligence beyond the immediate term, calling on those emerging from Saturday’s congresses to work tirelessly for victories that extend “beyond 2027.”

His remarks were echoed by key figures including Hon. John Mamman, the Commissioner for Education; Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, the member representing Kokona East in the State Assembly; and Hon.
