Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has emerged as the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the Nigeria APC Speakers Conference.

A statement from Nasarawa State House of Assembly, issued and made available by Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna, Dr. Jatau was elected unopposed through consensus by Speakers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) across Nigeria.

The election took place, Saturday, February 7, 2026, during the Nigeria APC Speakers Conference at Onomo Allure AATC Hotel, Abuja.

In his acceptance speech, the Nasarawa State Number One Lawmaker thanked God Almighty for the elevation and expressed profound gratitude to his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him.

The Number Three Citizen in Nasarawa State assured of renewed commitment to the Conference and the nation, promising to introduce innovations and stability that would drive development in all ramifications.

“My election by my Distinguished Hon. Colleagues through consensus was a thing of joy and happiness to me, my people and my State. I will not take it for granted; I will work hard to justify the confidence reposed in me by the grace of God,” Dr. Jatau said.

“I thank God Almighty for this honour, and I also thank my Rt. Hon. Colleagues for electing me into this position and for having trust in me. I will not disappoint you,” he added.
