In recognition of his significant contributions to driving growth in the Entertainment Industry in Kogi State and in Nigeria, Kogi-born NollyWood Actor and Filmmaker, Ohieku James Evemanyi, Popularly known as JAMES HERO, has received a Distinguished Community Service Award and conferred with Ogba Friendship Ambassador (OFA) by the Ogba Community Development Union OCDU – Nigeria.
The Award was presented to him at the Launching of 100 Million Naira Ogba Community Development Trust Fund event held at the NUJ Press Centre in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital.
Presenting the Merit Award to JAMES HERO who is also the Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Kogi State Chapter, the Leaders of the Union said the Award was in recognition of the Actors commitment to the Industry and his efforts at carrying and grooming young actors in the Industry.
The Union also noted that the Kogi AGN Chairman since his assumption of Office have been steadfast at delivering the needed results, urging him to do more in the days ahead.
JAMES HERO while receiving the Award, appreciated the Union for the honor which he said has brought joy and delight to spice the festive season the more.
The versatile Actor said the Award is a call to do more and an encouragement to go deeper in craft.
He said the Movie Industry remain a viable field for both young and old to showcase what they are made of, calling on those with hidden talents to dig such out and make a name themselves and the Society they represents.
The State AGN Chairman promised his commitment to carrying everyone along in the scheme of things, and called on well-to-do individuals to partner with Filmmakers to enable them soar higher and enlighten the Society more with their craft.
In recent time, JAMES HERO have been shooting movies in Kogi State, creating employment opportunities for the teeming youth, discovering new talents and lots more.
