Ex-Speaker Balarabe’s Stellar Record Overshadowed by Toto’s Ungrateful Protégés, PDP Chieftain, Annageh says

A prominent promoter of Architect Mohammed Ja’afar Ibrahim, the gubernatorial aspirant in Nasarawa State for the 2027 election and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Engr. Umar Haruna Anaggeh, has attributed the raging crisis engulfing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Toto to the betrayal of Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe by his own protégés, whom he painstakingly lifted from obscurity into positions of power.

Annageh Known locally as “The Community Red Fowl,” painted a vivid picture of ingratitude, insisting that the former Speaker’s exceptional service to Nasarawa State, particularly his constituency and Toto LG has been shamefully eclipsed by these turncoats, who have now turned faceless and heartless, abandoning the very good of Toto LGA that Balarabe championed.

Truth be told, Anaggeh declared, former Speaker Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe has done exceptionally well for Nasarawa State, distinguishing himself as a standout member of the Seventh Assembly and the state’s Number Three citizen during his two terms representing Umaisha/Ugya Constituency from 2015 to 2023.

“His track record stands as a historic milestone, a record-breaker in the annals of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly since the state’s creation, and remains a profound source of pride not just for Toto Local Government Area but for Nasarawa State at large.”

“We owe him profound gratitude for his political strides in Toto LGA,” the PDP chieftain emphasized, recounting how Balarabe elevated several sons and daughters of the soil, including once-stinging critics and hypocrites, through strategic appointments that spread empowerment across the area, transforming lives and fostering unity.

Yet, in a bitter twist that has ignited side talks and tarnished Balarabe’s political legacy, these very protégés have betrayed him at the worst possible moment, sparking the ongoing APC leadership tussle in Toto LGA and even turning against him, portraying the ex-Speaker as a bad leader despite his unwavering past support.

Anaggeh likened power to shifting cultivation, a rotational system best explained by our agricultural experts, reminding all that

“soldier go, soldier come,” and if this crisis aligns with the turn-by-turn dynamics of politics, then Balarabe must accept it as the inexorable cycle of leadership. As ”

The Community Red Fowl” returns to the political fray this March 1, 2026, he does so in peace, urging reflection on loyalty amid the shadows cast over a sterling record.
