It was a successful event at the Samphinno Town Hall Kpansia, Yenagoa Bayelsa State as Ebiras in the State and beyond, gathered to celebrate Ebira Day and End of Year 2025 amidst jubilation with the outing of Aneku Uzomi to spice up the day.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman, Ebira Peoples Association (EPA) Worldwide, Bayelsa State Chapter, Comr. Hassan Audu Dada, commend ebiras in Bayelsa State for their unity and their large turn out for the event – even as he appreciates those who travelled from both far and near to attend the occasion.

Comr. Dada pointed out that Ebiras in the State decided to involve the outing of masquerade to promote the culture of Ebiras to the outside world, and commended Appointees of Bayelsa State Government for attending the occasion.

The EPA Chairman in Bayelsa State appreciates the Ohinoyi of Ebira, HRM Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje for his efforts so far at entrenching unity in Ebiraland and beyond and urge him to put measures in place to secure the boundaries of Ebiras with other States following the challenges being faced in recent times over boundary issues.

Comr. Hassan praised the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for breaking the jinx that paved ways for people from the Central to become Governors in the Confluence State, noting that the choice of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo remain a great blessing to the State and beyond.

Ebiras in Bayelsa State also appreciates Gov. Ododo for his good works in Kogi State, urging him to look into possibilities of having dual carriageway on major roads with street lights in Ebiraland as obtainable in other advanced cities.

He also called on State Government, State and Federal elected officials to as a matter of urgency, come together at addressing unemployment issues in the Central Senatorial District and engage youths in profitable ventures.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of Awards to individuals for their contributions to promoting the course of unity in Bayelsa State and beyond.

The Awardees include – Comr. Hassan Audu Dada (EPA Chairman – Bayelsa State Chapter), EPA Elders Council Chairman/Auditor – Shaibu David, EPA Board of Trustees Members – Muhammed Zakari and Elder of EPA – Adayi Nuhu Okino.

Dignitaries at the event include; Hon. Mutari, SA to Bayelsa State Governor, DG Unify Non Natives in Bayelsa State also SSA to Bayelsa State Government, Alhaji Ali Meiwada – SSA to Bayelsa State Government, Arewa Community Association in Bayelsa State, Vice Chairman and Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Bello, Arewa States Forum Chairman, HRH Akumagu of Egbira Koto people in Bayelsa snd HRH oba of Okun People in Bayelsa State.

Others were EPA Vice Chairman and other Delegate from Delta State, Egbira Associations Delegate from Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Islamic Council Chairman Bayelsa State – Alhaji Yakubu Otobo with his team and the Onu of Igala in Bayelsa State represented by Mr. Yakubu.
