Dokubo Slams Wike, Fubara’s Assembly Pals over Rivers Crisis, Questions ‘Brotherly’ Handshake Photos
Veteran Nollywood actress and human rights activist, Hilda Dokubo, has lambasted Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State House of Assembly, and his supporters for fuelling the escalating political crisis in Rivers State.

Dokubo, speaking in an interview on Symfoni (3:30-4:48 minutes), dismissed recent signs of reconciliation between Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara as possible “photo tricks,” insisting citizens have been kept in the dark.
“When they came back from Abuja, none of us knew what the conversation was, it was not shared,” she fumed.
“From postings online, we found out that, we saw Nyesom Wike and Governor Fubara at an event, holding hands like brothers and walking into a vehicle. We saw also Governor Fubara say ‘this is my father, this is my brother.'”
The actress, a vocal critic of the power tussle rocking the oil-rich state, questioned the authenticity of the reconciliation optics.
“You know we saw a lot of things that looked like reconciliation. If they are now saying that that was photo trick, how do I know that the political whatever they want to do is not photo trick?”
Dokubo stressed that Rivers people deserve governance, not secretive deals.
“What I know is that whatever is the issue, we the citizens of Rivers State are not aware. You people reached your agreement at your level, we were not called into the agreement before it was reached. So whatever that discussion was, keep it away from us but let governance happen.”
The Nollywood actress outburst comes amid fresh tensions between the Wike and Fubara camps, with the Assembly loyal to the minister clashing repeatedly with the governor’s allies.
