Our Group – Yagba Progressive Elites Group, has been made aware of political comedy, recent preposterous, incongruous, untrue statements, rumors, allegation and unhealthy opprobrium emanating from Duro Olusegun Aseremaseka and Dr. Klisman Femi Modeyin whom from information gathered hailed from Iyamoye of Ijumu LGA and Kabba in Kabba -Bunu LGA respectively and the duo has been said to be licking the political wound of Elder Leke Abejide, and for them to leave their federal constituency and talking about another federal constituency where they don’t even have political and electoral value simply means they are jobless individuals.
However, we feel it has become pertinent at this juncture to react and put into perspective their misgivings.
The post is a desperate attempt to mask the glaring failures of Elder Leke Abejide’s representation with empty rhetoric, selective data and laughable sycophancy.
The article is a reflection of a disgraceful cocktail of hearsay and malicious misdirection, it lacks substance, accuracy and deserves nothing short of a thorough intellectual demolition.
Let’s be clear, this is not a review, it is a politically orchestrated attack disguised as concern and now, we will dispel with facts and figures every baseless claim line by line.
It is on record that Hon. Olatunde David Dare Mayegun used his political influence, resources and network to ensure the seamless victory of Elder Leke Abejide during the 2019 and 2023 poll even when many stakeholders and electorates refuted their support for him in 2023 due to his egocentric disposition and selfish – centeredness.
The truth remains that, Hon. Olatunde David Dare Mayegun has become an household name in the political landscape of Yagba Federal Constituency and this is due to his humanitarian gestures, selfless services to the people, human capacity building development and sustainability and his enduring legacy projects both completed and ongoing that cuts across the 3 LGA’s that made up Yagba Federal Constituency to mention but not limited to; facilitation and construction of Itedo- Amuro Township Road, Itedo – Ijowa Township Road, Itedo Irunda Township Road, Ejuku Township Road ( currently ongoing), donation of over 200 solar street lights,facilitated the drilling of 14 solar powered boreholes in Yagba fed constituency in December 2025,secured (5) five federal job employments for Isanlu youths, all these are impactful projects and initiatives.
In terms of deliverables and meaningful developmental impacts, Hon. Olatunde David Mayegun has facilitated federal government presence to Yagbaland through his lobby and contacts.
Hon. Dare Mayegun without mincing words has etched his name in gold in the heart of the people, no wonder he has won the trust of the people irrespective of academic background, status, religion and tribe affinity and it is on this popularity and support base that Elder Leke Abejide has been riding on for several years, so the above submission is a clear testament that Hon. Dare Mayegun has being a big factor in ensuring the victory of Elder Leke Abejide and his political influence in Yagba Federal Constituency remains undisputable.
Since they addressed Hon. Dare Mayegun as a comedian and not useful, then our questions are;
if he is not relevant and useful as they postulated, why was their leader, Elder Leke Abejide going to his house? Hon. Olatunde Dare Mayegun and Elder Leke Abejide wasn’t childhood friend, they got to know each other in 2015, What did they need a man that is not relevant for? Why are they after him? Why are they now bothering themselves over him?
Going by their assertions that Hon. Dare Olatunde Mayegun is not important and useful and a noise maker, then they should leave him alone to support Mopamuro LGA for House Of Representatives.
Then if their postulation is right to them, then they should leave the man without structure and influence and whom his voice doesn’t carry weight alone.
The hate stemmed from a public declaration Hon. Dare Olatunde Mayegun made that, “My Dear Mopamuro people, God has given you victory over the boastful, it is your turn to occupy the green Chamber, rise up and take it”.
The antecedents is well documented as a man who had sponsored Elder Leke Abejide’s political aspirations and took him across the 34 wards that made up Yagba Federal Constituency which translated into victory twice and because he asked Elder Leke Abejide to honour his promise that after his 8 years in the National Assembly a Mopamuro person can take over the seat, he has now become a political foe?
From the above analysis it further reflects that he has the structure, he has achieved enviable results and relevance. The statement of Hon. Dare Mayegun was a welcome development which sends a positive shockwaves in the political landscape of Yagba Federal Constituency and it has received torrent commendations from the nooks and crannies of our federal constituency and the question on the lips of many constituents has being that, Is there still a man of this caliber who stood gallantly and resolutely with a view to ensure that the rotational arrangement is maintain and followed?
Hon. Dare Mayegun never made any sudden rediscovery, while canvassing for support from the stakeholders especially from Mopamuro LGA, Elder Leke Abejide was said to have pledged that he will vacate the seat for Mopamuro person after his second term which Hon. Dare Mayegun was in the meeting and he also added his voice to the plea of Elder Leke Abejide, would you expect the former to return to the Mopamuro LGA stakeholders and electorates to renege his promise?
It is worthy of note that Chief Dare David Mayegun is not a political opportunism driven by personal bitterness and unfulfilled ambition because this is a man who is combining business and politics and not dependant on politics that will even lead to such unfounded allegations. Elder Leke Abejide has been scheming around to access Hon. Dare Mayegun but it has meet with strong stiffness and resistance as he remains firm that it is the turn of Mopamuro LGA and no matter the pressure he won’t back out.
Suffice to say, Chief Dare Olatunde Mayegun is a brilliant and meticulous business man cum politician.
Hon. Dare Mayegun is indeed a unifier but he would never be a negotiator with a stark and serial betrayal, saboteur and a mouth diarrhea who prefer to sell his people at the slightest opportunity to remain in power.
In the porous article, it was alleged that Hon. Olatunde David Dare Mayegun said that without him, Elder Leke Abejide cannot win election in Yagba Federal Constituency, that statement is untrue and it’s in the figment of their imagination.
To buttress the above, Chief Dare Olatunde Mayegun only have one vote which is his civic right and he will exercise it, as a matter of fact no individual can make anybody to either win or loose an election,
The stand of Hon. Olatunde David Dare Mayegun has being that he won’t support Elder Leke Abejide’s third term bid. However, if there is contrary point, those circulating such notion should be bold enough to provide verifiable proves and evidences either by interview, written or oral where such statement was made. Our advice to Elder Leke Abejide is that he should go and face his opponent since he derives pleasure in scuttling the rotational arrangement. Hon. Dare Mayegun is not an aspirant in the election neither is he vying for any political position, so he should leave Hon. Dare Mayegun out of his political razzmatazz.
Hon. Dare Mayegun has risen to the challenge of defending the truth in a time of delusion.
With the above, it is simply a travesty of justice for anyone to now turned round and accuse Hon. Dare Mayegun of any misdemeanour.
If being sincere and truthful were his sins, then let him be guilty.
It is therefore disingenuous to cloak unsubstantiated accusations in the language of defence.
Prejudice apart and without mincing words, this untrue stories is inapt and gibberish when taking into consideration, the current near the political quagmire of the Yagba House of Representatives Member due to his outright failure. it is not far from the truth to say the electorates have decided to take the “bull by the horn” to rescue political power from the hand of uncultured and unethical representative who is bent on twarting our rotational arrangement.
What is increasingly evident is a sustained attempt by few insignificant political liability and their associates to tarnish the image of Hon. Dare Mayegun because of his refusal to align with Elder Leke Abejide. politically, however, must never descend into character assassination or the weaponization of collective concerns emanating from the authors of the write up whom does not even have electoral value in Yagba Federal Constituency.
It is pivotal to inform the writer that Yagba Federal Constituency is not a theatre for propaganda but a constituency in need of urgent rescue. The days of political gaslighting are over. The good people of Yagba are awake,aware and tired of being deceived.
Hon. Dare Mayegun remains a fearless voice of reason and reform in a system that is at the verge of collapsing under the weight of incompetence. If speaking the truth makes him “a clown”, then our people of Yagba Federal Constituency surely needs more of such clowns and fewer jesters.
For instance Dr. Klisman Femi Modeyin, a man that ran to Canada and ran back is of no substance and value to the extent that he abandoned his paid job in glo office where he got money to feed himself and his family and suddenly ran to canada and under three (3) months he ran back to Nigeria and upon returning out of shame he could not stay in Lokoja but ran to Abuja and presently staying in a remote area in Dutse Alhaji and now working as an errand boy, a mere sale man, selling rugs and carpets, is that the person Hon. Olatunde David Dare Mayegun will dignify with a response? The answer is capital “NO”
We are sounding this as a note of warning to both Otunba Duro Olusegun Aseremaseka and Dr. Klisman Femi Modeyin who are certified bootlickers to desist from mudslinging or we drag them publicly to stupor because Hon. Dare Olatunde Mayegun is not your regular customer.
