Apostle Kwadwo Kwarteng Warns Christians Against False Prophets Amid Recent Arrests

Apostle Kwadwo Kwarteng, founder and leader of the Bride of Christ Church International in Abrepo, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, has issued a stern warning to Christians to exercise caution against false prophets who spread fear and misinformation.

Speaking during a church service on Sunday, Apostle Kwarteng referenced the recent arrest of self-proclaimed Prophet Ebo Noah, who was detained by Ghanaian authorities for issuing a false prophecy predicting catastrophic flooding across the nation.
“Such prophets deserve to be arrested if their words incite fear and panic among the people,” he declared, emphasizing that true prophecy from God brings hope, not terror.
The arrest of Ebo Noah, which occurred last week, has sparked debate in Ghana’s religious and media circles.
Police confirmed that Noah’s prediction, shared widely on social media, lacked any basis and contributed to public anxiety, prompting swift action under laws prohibiting the spread of false information that endangers public order.
Apostle Kwarteng praised the authorities’ response, urging believers to discern true men of God from impostors. “The Bible in Matthew 7:15 warns of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Test every spirit, and do not let fear-mongers manipulate your faith,” he added.
In a call to action, the apostle linked the issue of false prophecies to Ghana’s ongoing environmental crises. He implored political and community leaders to crack down on illegal mining, known locally as galamsey, which has devastated rivers, forests, and farmlands.
“While false prophets sow fear, illegal mining destroys our land and poisons our water. Leaders must act decisively to protect God’s creation,” Kwarteng stated, highlighting recent reports of polluted water bodies in the Ashanti Region.
The Bride of Christ Church International, under Apostle Kwarteng’s leadership, has grown into a prominent voice in Kumasi’s Christian community, known for its emphasis on biblical discernment and social justice.
This warning comes at a time when Ghana grapples with a surge in prophetic claims ahead of the 2026 election cycle, raising concerns about misinformation in religious spaces.
Church members who attended the service applauded the message, with one elder noting, “Apostle Kwarteng is reminding us to stay vigilant in these perilous times.”
Ghanaian Authorities have yet to comment further on the Ebo Noah case, but religious leaders across denominations have echoed calls for accountability.
As Ghana balances faith, prophecy, and public safety, Apostle Kwarteng’s message underscores the need for discernment in both spiritual and civic matters.
