Nasarawa 2027: APC Guber Hopeful Maikaya Courts Co-Aspirants, Promises Inclusive Leadership
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has intensified consultations with fellow aspirants within the party, calling for unity and collective support as the party prepares for its primaries.
Maikaya, a renowned philanthropist and grassroots politician, said his outreach was borne out of the need to foster cohesion among party stakeholders, stressing that while all aspirants are eminently qualified to govern the state, only one candidate would eventually emerge to fly the party’s flag.
Speaking during a series of engagements with party faithful and co-aspirants, the Toto-born politician emphasized the importance of solidarity ahead of the APC primaries, noting that internal harmony would be critical to the party’s success in the 2027 polls.
He acknowledged the competence and capacity of all aspirants in the race, describing them as individuals with credible ideas and passion for the development of Nasarawa State.
However, he maintained that the reality of the contest is that a single ticket is at stake, hence the need for aspirants to rally behind whoever emerges through a transparent and credible process.
Maikaya further assured that his ambition is not driven by personal gain but by a shared vision for a better Nasarawa State, pledging that if given the mandate, he would run an all-inclusive administration that accommodates the interests of all stakeholders, including those who contested alongside him.
He stressed that governance under his leadership would be participatory, with emphasis on consultation, collaboration, and collective decision-making in order to deliver sustainable development across the state.
Outlining his blueprint for the state, the APC chieftain identified critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, security, infrastructure, and youth empowerment as key priorities of his administration.
He noted that investing in quality education and accessible healthcare would form the bedrock of human capital development, while strengthening agriculture would boost food security and economic growth.
He also underscored the need to enhance security architecture and create opportunities for young people and women through targeted empowerment programmes.
He reiterated his commitment to building a united APC capable of securing victory in the 2027 elections, urging party members to place the collective interest of the state above individual ambitions.
Maikaya expressed optimism that with unity, transparency, and a shared sense of purpose, the party would emerge stronger and better positioned to deliver good governance to the people of Nasarawa State.
