Geologist Maikaya Set to Build on Gov. Sule’s 8-Year Legacy in Minerals, Infrastructure, Civil Service

A frontline governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State on the podium of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has declared his intention to consolidate and expand the achievements of the incumbent administration of Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Maikaya, a professional geologist, expressed confidence that his background and wealth of experience in the solid minerals sector position him as the right candidate to sustain and deepen the developmental strides recorded under Sule’s leadership.
Speaking on his vision for the state, Maikaya emphasized the need to build on the strong foundation already laid in the areas of solid minerals development, infrastructure and civil service reforms.
He noted that Nasarawa State is richly endowed with mineral resources, which, if properly harnessed, could significantly boost internally generated revenue, create jobs, and drive industrial growth.
He pledged to leverage his expertise as a geologist to unlock these potentials, ensuring that the sector becomes a major pillar of the state’s economy.
