Nasarawa Erupts in Joy as Sen. Wadada flags off 18km Angwan Takwa-Moroa Road Project.

The construction and grading of the 18.5-kilometre Angwan Takwa Junction–Moroa Town road in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has been officially flagged off.
The flag off ceremony which took place on Monday had in attendance top Governor aspirants in Nasarawa state including former Governor of Nasarawa state Sen. Abdullahi Adamu among others.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Engr. Mohammed Sani Sidi, commended Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for his numerous developmental contributions not only to Nasarawa West Senatorial district but to the state as a whole.
He described the ongoing road construction as another significant project that will have direct impact on the people especially at the grassroots and pledged the state government’s continuous support for the project and other road interventions across the state.
Former APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, also praised Senator Wadada, calling on other politicians to emulate his commitment to development and generosity, particularly towards the less privileged.
In his remarks, the Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Bello, expressed satisfaction with senator wadada’s track records of achievements, describing the road project as a major intervention.
He noted that Senator Wadada’s consistent track record of impactful projects came as no surprise, while appreciating him for his dedication to public service.
Member representing Kokona East Constituency, Hon. Daniel Oga Ogazi, thanked Senator Wadada for responding to the long-standing needs of the Takwa community, stating that the road had been long overdue for grading and repair.
Speaking on behalf of all gubernatorial aspirants, Dr. Faisal Shuaibu appreciated stakeholders for attending the event and commended Senator Wadada for his timely intervention in the road rehabilitation.
Other dignitaries present at the event included HRH Lawrence Sylvester, the Abaga Toni of Garaku; Arc. Shehu Tukur; and several community and political leaders.
Providing details of the project, the contractor, Douglas Chom, disclosed that the grading of the road will cost ₦148,184,000. He added that the 18.5-kilometre road will include the construction of three concrete culverts.
Hon. Mek Bitrus Agbawu also expressed gratitude to Senator Wadada, describing the road as critical to the socio-economic development of Kokona Constituency and assured that adequate security and community support would be provided to ensure the successful completion of the project.
In his address, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada emphasized the importance of the Angwan Takwa–Moroa Town road to the people of Kokona LGA. He acknowledged Senator Abdullahi Adamu as his political mentor and appreciated Dr. Faisal Shuaibu for his kind remarks.

The senator noted that unlike previous grading efforts carried out when he was a member of the House of representatives, the current intervention would involve full rehabilitation of the road, assuring residents that the project would be bigger and better.
The event concluded with the official flag-off of the 18km road construction.
