2027: Kogi Craves PDP Return to Lugard House as APC’s Time Runs Out – Party Chair
….As party charts rebirth path, mobilises grassroots for total takeover
The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) finished in the state, vowing a triumphant return to Lugard House in the 2027 general elections.
State PDP Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, dropped the bombshell at the weekend during a charged meeting with party faithful in Lokoja.

He unveiled a robust strategy to reclaim power, starting with massive grassroots mobilisation to snatch majority seats across the state.”Let me repeat it again: Time is up for the APC. They should write their handover notes. Kogi people want PDP back. They said our years in government were rewarding. They can’t wait any longer.
Enough is enough, 2027 is PDP’s turn. Let Kogi APC pack and go” Gambo thundered.
Drawing from life’s ups and downs, the chairman painted a vivid picture of the party’s resurgence. “Life is a curve; you go from the bottom to the apex and back down. We started from zero in 1998, ruled for 16 years, then descended. We’ve hit the valley bottom, now we’re climbing back.
This is rebirth. We’ve analysed our mistakes and successes. I’m proud of the results so far.”Gambo stressed balancing elite influence with the power of numbers. “We have ‘qualitative’ voices, the elites, and ‘quantitative’ ones. Democracy is numbers. We’re repositioning by handing power back to women and youths.
“He revealed ongoing grassroots drives and stakeholder engagements, with “feelers” confirming PDP’s Lugard House comeback.
Ditching godfatherism, the party now champions internal democracy. “We’re going back to the people. No more past errors.”The momentum is real, Gambo boasted: “Mass defections are pouring in. We’ve met ex-members from APC and ADC. Soon, over 200 returnees and new blood will join PDP.”
